Things have been a bit slow over here at camp Dashfield haven't they? Truth be told our trip to Melbourne really knocked us out! I've never experienced post holiday fatigue quite like I did this time and am only just starting to feel somewhat normal again. Hence why anything other than afternoon naps and extra coffees hasn't really been on my radar. So I've decided to take the pressure off a bit to the lead up of Christmas madness, try to subdue my intense Virgo need to have everything just so and just relax! After the New Year it'll be full steam ahead though!
BLOG - I'm really planning to step things up a notch next year. I've got a whole lot of really great things planned, including the return of the Creatives Project.
SHOP - Eep a new online Dashfield store! I miss my old Dashfield store so much that after much contemplation I've decided it's time for a comeback. I'm still working on the finer details so stay tuned.
SUMMER - This is our first summer in a while where we're not moving house, having a baby, getting married etc. So we're planning to spend a blissfully quiet one around home, painting the house, renovating the kitchen (yes I'll share the process), going to the beach every afternoon, weekend camping with friends, great food, great wine and plenty of lazing around in the backyard. I really can't think of a better way to spend the hot summer months.
WORK - After a two year break (Two years?? Where did that time go??) I will be starting to work with an incredible little catering company again. The hours are reasonably short, flexible and mostly in the evenings so that means I can work around Nic's schedule and still be there for Ayana during the day. Perfect really.
So there you have it. There are my plans for the beginning of the year. I found myself in a bit of a rut lately (as I'm sure many mothers do) where I knew I wanted to still be a stay at home mama for Ayana, but feeling like I would soon lose my mind if cooking, cleaning and grocery shopping remained the soul purpose of my days. Between the three of us I think we're starting to find a bit of balance now and it feels great. I look forward to seeing what 2015 (wow that's futuristic) has in store.
xx
